Speaking on the occasion, multi -role combat aircraft , Defence Minister AK Antony expressed his appreciation for the initial operational clearance .
He said that the final operational clearance of LCA hoped that would be achieved by December 2014 .
Antony ahead of fifth generation fighter aircraft and medium transport aircraft, several new programs , including , as a major boost to describe today's achievement .
The ambitious project launch comes after nearly 20 years ago . The first batch of supersonic fighter aircraft Hindustan Aeronautics Limited ( HAL ) will be built by 2014 and will join the fleet of the Indian Air Force .
