This action movie was released on 22nd February, and had a star cast of Susan Sarandon and Dwayne Johnson. Ric Roman Waugh has directed the movie. The movie had a strong story board, which revolves around a plot where a father of an innocent boy becomes an undercover informer, whose boy has been caught in the charge of drug distribution. Revealing the truth, he gets closer to the facts, that his boy was innocent and was trapped by a drug suppliers mafia. The movie received a great applause from the audiences.

2. The Lone Ranger

The movie was released recently on 3rd July and was a most anticipated action movie of the year. The movie is directed by Gore Verbenski. The film revolves around an American Spirited native warrior Tonto, who is played by Johny Depp. The movie is an action comedy, which has successfully grabbed the attention of the audience

3. G.I. Joe: Retaliation

The movie is a sequel to G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, released back in 2009. The sequel was written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese and the cast has Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Ray Park, Arnold Vosloo, Jonathan Pryce and Lee Byung-hun. The G.I. Joe is in his struggle to compete with Cobra and government agencies, who are causing threats to their department. Rest of the characters are following their former part roles with continuity.

4. Officer Down

The movie has been well written by John Chase and has been directed by Brian A Miller. As for its cast, the movie stars Stephen Dorff, Tommy Flanagan and Dominic Purcell. The story of the movie is quite interesting in a way, that it revolves around a cop life’s story, where he is confronting again with his past and is in the middle of making a decision for what is right and wrong, or to just bow down infront of the threats.

5. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

Hensel and Gretel was released on 25th of January, under the directional expertise of Tommy Wirkola. The cast of the movie includes Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen and Peter Stormare. We all know from the name of the movie; it has its roots back to the childrens’ stories, which was transformed into a thriller plus an action horror movie, which got a successful standing in box office ratings.

6. Bullet to the Head

Walter Hiller directed the movie “Bullet to the Head”, which turned out to stand amongst the most successful actin movies of 2013. The movie was released on 1st February. After the a long time, the audience got to see Sylvester Stallone in the movie along with Sung Kang and Jason Momoa. The movie was inspired by the French famous novel “Du Plomb Dans La Tete”. The director has beautifully conceived and presented the movie, that it got huge appreciation and applause.

The movie is based on the fantasy and action thriller of Beanstalk, which got huge appreciation from its audiences and did pretty good business on the box office results too.

8. A Good Day to Die Hard

The movie is a sequel to the original series of Die Hard and is directed by John Moore. It was released on the valentines this year, 14th February. The movie has Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, Sebastian Koch, Cole Hauser and Yuliya Snigir. Like its former parts, the movie is an action movie and revolves around the situational struggle and confrontations for Bruce Willis. The movie received a way positive result.

9. Oblivion

Oblivion was released on 12th April, and was directed aesthetically by Joseph Kosinski. It’s mainly a Tom Cruise movie, with seasoned actor Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko and Melissa Leo. The movies offers some real great action sequences for the action lovers, and has a strong storyline, which keeps the audience glued to their screens without any break.

10. Pain and Gain

Another successful action movie of 2013 is Pain and Gain, which was released on 26th of April and was directed by Michael Bay. The movie includes starcast of Mark Walhberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie and Tony Shalhoub. The movie comes with great action scenes and is a really interesting watch.
